My wife and I have lived at Fizzy Walthamstow for a year. It is by far the best tenancy experience we have ever had. The rent is very reasonable for the stylish, brand-new flats. There are fewer ancillary charges than renting through an estate agent (which amounts to a big saving), and Fizzy’s Tenant Portal makes the payments clear and transparent. The on-site team are fantastic: highly professional, helpful and always friendly. We love the co-working area, the barbecues and get-togethers laid on for residents, and the ready-to-use fibre broadband included in the rent (meaning no BT or Sky contract at all!). And getting a seat on the Victoria Line every day for a fast commute into London is a god-send. All-round, a far more pleasant and dignified renting experience!
Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:
The commute is excellent. Waltham Forest has a dynamic, creative vibe and there are good bars, restaurants and shops within easy distance in Walthamstow itself. The Lea River Valley is a beautiful place to walk.
I only hope that more local amenities arrive to the Blackhorse Road area. The local Co-op is a bit of a disaster; there is a Tesco a few minutes further away which is better, but the area could also use a good small Sainsbury’s or equivalent. The area is developing fast so I’m sure more shops and services will appear soon.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
It turns out that postal services, couries, utility companies and retailers really struggle with newly-built properties! I’ve spent a year having to explain to people that, yes, my building does exist. They’re slowly catching up, but some organisations still don’t have our building in their databases. Couriers often claim to have ‘attempted delivery’, but actually never visited the property (presumably having failed to look for it). That can be frustrating.
