We believe the best information about a residential development comes from the people living there. Owners and tenants have a lot of useful information to share with their prospective neighbours, not just on the property itself and its locality, but also on the developer and the building’s management.

Eastbank Tower is a nice building. Flats are modern and nicely designed. Big windows help getting a lot of natural light. It also has a gym. Pets are also allowed in the building, which is rare. Negative points are the building often gets broken into, in the garage but also in the main entrance where parcels get stolen.

The building itself is very nice. Unfortunately it has some design flaws. Our apartment is south facing, with one half of the apartment full of floor to ceiling windows. There is only one window that opens on this side of the apartment so it is unbearably hot like a greenhouse when the sun is out. Extra ventilation should have been considered.

The building is functional with simple design across the flats. On paper there are quite good facilities (gym, underground car park) but these are not maintained to a high enough standard. Some of the gym equipment is faulty and has not been repaired despite contacting management. The car park has been broken in to on multiple occasions though normally for people to sleep in there rather than to cause any damage. This has resulted in the car park gate being damaged many times so that it will not lock. Packages have also been known to go missing as the post boxes downstairs are not large enough so they are left on top of them, and there is no security personnel during the day. Management will deal with emergency issues quite quickly, but are often slow to respond to other issues.

Gym in the building and flats nicely furnished. Lift in the building as well as security guards at night. Really large windows in the apartments so lots of sunlight. Little noise from other apartments so must be good sound isolation. Is on Great Ancoats Street so quite a few police cars and ambulances drive past but windows keep out most of the noise.

Great building, poor management. Eastbank is a lovely apartment block just outside Manchester, very close to bars and restaurants in Ancoats and the city. I live in a 2 bedroom 1st floor apartment with lots natural light. The apartments are pretty sound proof, I hardly hear the traffic when the windows are closed and rarely hear the neighbours unless they are in the communal hall way. The building has very friendly security in duty at night too which is great! Pros - Pet friendly Con - Not many windows open, building management service is very poor.
