We believe the best information about a residential development comes from the people living there. Owners and tenants have a lot of useful information to share with their prospective neighbours, not just on the property itself and its locality, but also on the developer and the building’s management.

Thurston Point is a residential development by L&Q Group. The new development is set on busy Thurston Road in Lewisham. Residents benefit from its own Asda supermarket and The Gym Group fitness centre. As well as this, there are one, two and three-bedroom apartments here, just up the road from Lewisham Station for DLR and Mainline trains.

The development is equipped with modern appliances and has a modern design which is great - I love a plain design so you can make your home yours. I would prefer more storage space as we only have 1 storage cupboard for a 2 bedroom flat, however we do have a large balcony which is very useful.

The design of the development looks modern, as it opened in 2015. Facilities are pretty standard, with a big communal garden (but theres usually all the children down there and can get noisy). There's not much to say in other communal areas, every building has access to at least one lift. L&Q are ok at responding to issues raised regarding communal issues. However, can sometimes take a while to find solutions. It's still a decent place to live.

The building maintenance is sufficient not always quickly responsive, but improving. Some episodes of anti-social behaviour in the building, without any true commitment to fix it. For the price we pay, one thing I would change in the flat are higher standard kitchen appliances and better & improved storage cupboard design.

Poorly and cheaply made. Everything breaks. Particularly door handles. The outside space is nice and big, however often is full of children (which isn’t a problem). There’s another park close (Brookmill) and if you really wanted to, a 20/25 minute walk would get you to Greenwich park

I think the development is in a fantastic location, 5 minute walk to the station, 1 minute walk to supermarket and is surrounded by 4 gyms! My biggest negative is there is minimal storage space in the flat, but the balcony is large so that helps. Great value overall!
