Great development but poor quality finish.

Pleased with my plot overall. Decent size rooms/ bathrooms/ garden. The site management is very slow to fix issues. Still working on my 7-day inspection form.... 7 months later. The site manager is nice (Kevin). Question the aftercare as I've had numerous people come to the house and say they will do bits and bobs but haven't turned up. So I am constantly chasing. Poorly signposted the entrance of the site. It's not clear where Redland grange is.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Good points: Nice quiet location, Private parking Decent shops local, Co-op and Tescos express. Post office round the corner. Bad: Driving required. It is a small village and you would need to drive approx 20 minutes to be in the center of Cambridge and 15 mins to Ely. There is public transport but I know waiting times are long as we are out in the middle of nowhere. There is also quite a lot of litter outside. Paying a maintenance fee but not quite sure what for.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

They tend to ghost me and I am constantly chasing them up. Saleslady hasn't spoken to me since I got the keys.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Clarify council tax. Was told I was band C but ended up with D.

The design of the house is good. The rooms are a decent size and there is a lovely garden for each property. The insulation is clearly good quality as I can barely hear my neighbours and the noise is nice and cool in the summer. The houses seem set out well in the street, not too close.

The development is on the outskirts of a lovely village, making it ideal for those who like a quiet life

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

The building management don’t respond all that quickly to issues

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish I had known that there was no visitors parking bays

Good area but poor finish

Development is nice, usually quiet aside from ongoing building work. Road is not finished on entry so flat tyres have been experienced due to road debris and it's still frequent traffic for HGVs and diggers. Would like visibility and footpath access to playpark from where we are at 63. Buildings have not been finished to a good standard, bits missing and parts missing.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Cottenham itself has good amenities and the location is close enough to access Cambridge centrally through multiple routes. There's currently no footpath into Cottenham and it the only route via road is to join a road that is currently NSL at 60mph so not so safe to join especially with reduced visibility.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

They haven't yet responded but issues were only recently raised

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

That the area was still outstanding maintenance work
