We believe the best information about a residential development comes from the people living there. Owners and tenants have a lot of useful information to share with their prospective neighbours, not just on the property itself and its locality, but also on the developer and the building’s management.

Matisse Court is a new-build apartment block on Featherstone Street, close to Old Street, Shoreditch and the Barbican Centre, and within easy walking distance of the likes of Moorgate and Liverpool Street stations. Many of Matisse Court's apartments are split-level – a rarity in London residential developments.

It is a relatively quiet and friendly development. The best thing is that is has a park right behind it which gives a great view to the people that, like me, live on a flat with a balcony on that side. On the down side, the street, although quiet, does not feel that safe. Very often you have people loitering suspiciously. The building has a concierge which is quite useful. Architecturally I don’t find the building that pleasing from the side of the street but from the side of the park it is nice. Inside corridors, stairs and the elevator are plain without much decoration except for a few Matisse prints to honour the name of the building.
