We believe the best information about a residential development comes from the people living there. Owners and tenants have a lot of useful information to share with their prospective neighbours, not just on the property itself and its locality, but also on the developer and the building’s management.

Heathlands is a small nice looking development in a leafy area. The properties are well designed in terms of storage but the built quality is extremely poor. I like my property because it has wide halls, lots of light and plenty of storage space however if i opened it I would be particularly disappointed with the build quality. 2 years in, the toilet has issues with flushing and there are lots of issues with fittings due to the poor quality of the build. Despite great ventilation mould spores have appeared in the bathroom. The bathroom was not decorated with the appropriate paint for bathrooms. The plaster has come out of the cheap partition wall. The windows have two trickle vents in and the heating is not balanced at all. The quality of the builds are low which is a shame as the layout if great.

The overall design on the building is good in my opinion. However, the security of the building (Rose Court) is very poor and most of the time i’ve been living here the front door to the building has been broken meaning anyone could get in. there is no CCTV outside of the building meaning anyone can do what they like out the front of the building and people get harassed on their doorbells all through the night. Since police involvement this has quietened down but still happens.

The first road on the estate with the entrance is too narrow as they have put a house right on the corner who’s drive is too short. If you pass a large car on your way in and out it’s hard to fit past. Our building is managed by a housing association. I know the general management of the estate is poor and the residents had to pay for some flowers at the entrance. The standard of build for my property is appalling. We can hear conversations in the car park with the windows shut. The walls are plasterboard covered in paper and really low quality paint, I painted my hall and the paint rubbed off with sugar soap in one area. My bathroom wall is also peeling. It’s poor.

Considering a Linden / Vistry property. Prepare for a nightmare, poor work, lack of coms, left angered. Communal areas in a dangerous state, exposed wires, Sharpe rubble & aggregate, walls falling down, sewers/ drains full of concrete, rubble & other
