We believe the best information about a residential development comes from the people living there. Owners and tenants have a lot of useful information to share with their prospective neighbours, not just on the property itself and its locality, but also on the developer and the building’s management.

Overall, this development is of fairly poor quality. The Barratts team portray a number of great prospects for the development, all of which are extremely misleading The green spaces are poorly maintained with the grass now dead and dehydrated. The quality of both the workmanship and materials used in the properties is low (we had over 200 snags alone). The gym (which is still not open) is not fit to maintain the number of people within the development. The outdoor "gym" is abysmal; a number of bits of poorly placed wood masquerading as some kind of calisthenic workshop. I can only imagine that the designers had Chernobyl circa 1986 in mind when designing the children's play area. The "art" is supposed to highlight the legacy of the building being the old Nestle factory but instead, looks like grey carcases of dead space invaders.

The property management company, First Port is providing a poor service. There is high ground rent (compared to other sites) and service charges, when we don't get an adequate service. The Facilities like the gym, doctor's surgery, convenience store is yet to be completed, despite Covid.

The design of the development is as described and modelled when buying the property. The building itself is aesthetically pleasing, apart from the random statue art that were dotted around the development. Although security is an issue in our building, especially parcels being stolen and telecom not working at times. The gym available is also not as they initially described and seemed unsuitable in catering for the number of flats in our development. As per the building management and property management, I’ve experience poor costumer service especially with communication from the management company with plenty of unanswered emails. Raised issues from when I first moved in 1.5 years ago remained unanswered, and unfortunately Barratt has not been as supportive as property management is apparently no longer their concern. This was definitely the biggest downside especially when service charges continue to rise with lack of advance notice or better explanation.

The facilities have problems quite often and construction outside are very noisy. However, the design is really good even though the workers take far too long to get the house completed. It is very secure and comfortable inside the apartment and a lot of open space in the garden for the family to enjoy together. There is lots of greenery.

Very good floor plan and layout. Finished to a good standard, with some issues fixed in timely manner by the developer. Good surrounding site including green space. Secure bike storage area is positive. Development slightly behind schedule due to COVID.
