Briefing of Forsteque/Breakspear Gardens – A Resident’s perspective:

Review Date Mar 2021

Cleaning is OK, also the Gardens. Bins evacuated promptly. They responded quite quickly when I complained of leaking Tap in Bathroom.

There is already BT & Virgin Broadband connections, saving you stress and reducing costs of installation (although it is not free).

Also, I’m happy for the many electric Vehicles charging points. You don’t need to go outside the premises to charge your Car.
There are 2 disabled parking available which is useful.

I was impressed that they allowed Residents hang TVs on the Walls (with permission). Some new buildings do not allow it to avoid damage to the Walls.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

The property is well maintained, use of high quality materials, courtesy window blinds, security. The Manual is a very useful guide.

Salt wasn’t spread on the ground during the snow until a few days later, a risk for Residents.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The Council tax is highehr than I anticipated (no fault of theirs).
There is enough dedicated parking space for each Flat but it was not properly marked, rather than side by side, it was front to back and therefore limited the spaces. However, Residents have sorted it out.

Loving living at Fortescue gardens

Review Date Feb 2021

The development is lovely and nice to look at, the property has big floor to ceiling windows making it feel bigger and open, and allows lots of light through. The Apollo cancers are wary to use and are smart and the design and carpentry of the flat is modern and clean. Property management is great, the lift is quiet and works really well and the building is always clean and tidy. The bins are taken out every week and it never disturbs is.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Transport is great with Colliers Wood tube less than a five min walk away. Tooting and Winbledon overground are close by 20-25min walk so great links to central London. Morden Hall Park and Merton Abbey Mills are lovely and it doesn’t feel like London when we go there. Lots of shops and supermarkets nearby, restaurants, coffee shops, homeward shops, chemists and gyms. No traffic noise as the development is off of a road and is private, no antisocial behaviour as it is private it’s really quiet to live here.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I can’t think of anything apart from more information on costs going up each year included in information packs or just more Information in general about the costs AFTER buying the property and what happens after a few years.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

We had an issue with the property which delayed us moving in and took a while to resolve but it was eventually dealt with and we love the flat.

Great first home

Review Date Mar 2021

I would highly recommend purchasing a property here. Its one of the few developments we found which suited both indoor and outdoor space. The facilities are fantastic, it comes with high quality appliances and it has lovely windows for light. Its safe.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

We love our new home. Its close to 4 supermarket chains, and 8 min away from Colliers Wood Station. Our street is calm, and safe, with little noise and traffic.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The information was enough, cant think of anything.

If there is one thing you would change about your flat or property what would it be:

Light inside rooms. We could only include one lamp which doesn’t light up the rooms. Bathroom humidity is worrying. We would love to be able to have bbqs.

A student review

Verified Resident
Verified Resident
Review Date Feb 2021

I as someone who is studying architecture design think that the building is very well thought out and designed. I believe these weren’t built for “family homes” so as a student living here I find it very spacious and neat. The heaters work well which is good because of the windows rooms can get a little cold.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Im a student who recently moved here during summer. it’s a very peaceful and safe neighbourhood. Very suitable for young adults. There is a shared garden safe for walks and going for a run.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish I knew how hollow the walls were. Some of the wall (particularly the room walls), aren’t really suitable for selves

What is the best feature of your home:

The shared garden space. I think it’s a lovely touch and it really does make the area look 10 times better

Great area to live in, with access to a lot of groceries shops(sainsburys, M&s, aldi, lidl) 2 retail parks less than 5 mins away with boots, tkmaxx, pcworld, nandos, starbucks. Quiet area without no noise, and easy acess to colliers wood station (5mins)

If there is one thing you would change about your flat or property what would it be:

Nothing much to add as a negative aspect, the house have central air ventilation and air extractor, but the bathroom boost is not enought to avoid mold
