We believe the best information about a residential development comes from the people living there. Owners and tenants have a lot of useful information to share with their prospective neighbours, not just on the property itself and its locality, but also on the developer and the building’s management.

Central House is a residential development by Barratt Homes, featuring one and two-bedroom apartments. It’s close to Stratford’s two biggest tourist attractions – the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and Westfield Stratford City, and it’s right next to Saint Thomas Creek, a waterway that connects to the River Lea, which runs into the River Thames. Stratford Station and Pudding Mill Lane are also within close proximity.

However, the property management, First Port and the concierge are jokes. I have been escalated my complaint to Property Ombudsman services and still I had no outcome. The concierge’s viewpoint is that her only job is to sit in an “office” - which is not even the place that she is meant to be at, but on the main reception area which she refuses - and that is fine by the management. She leaves work earlier than she is meant to, happily goes for shopping during her work hours ( I am not entirely sure what type of shopping, if it’s her own) and puts the cleaner in charge. Takes her break for sometimes hours. She has her own viewpoint of she can not interfere when something happens in the flats because “that happens inside the flat and is not her responsibility” I quoted this from her. Moreover, the parking area is full of rubbish, none of the emergency exits are working ( deliveroo driver came in to the building from there because that was closer ) . Main gates (vehicle, pedestrian) main door have not been working for 2,5 years now which led to the fact that During the winter time homeless people are sleeping in the building on the corridor. I could go on for longer . In summary, if you considering moving there or buying a flat, message me instead so I can tell you more aspects to consider

I’ve lived here ten years plus. Hardly any trouble , safety wise and nice neighbourly atmosphere. Down side is the building management sucks , Gym Sauna Steam room is adequate. Transport hub is amazing , 25 bus right outside the building gate , close enough to walk to Bow District line. Or Puddingmill lane DLR (5mins)

The development itself is okay but the managing company is horrendous. They do not maintain well but increase service charges constantly. First Port need to be looked in to
