We believe the best information about a residential development comes from the people living there. Owners and tenants have a lot of useful information to share with their prospective neighbours, not just on the property itself and its locality, but also on the developer and the building’s management.

The design of the property is good although small. Not much room for additional storage. The build was to plan and site kept clean. After the construction was completed, the property management team took over and they have been a joy to work with. They are responsive and proactive, and have done an excellent job of maintaining the property and addressing any issues that have come up.

No facilities on estate. Nice looking properties. Bloor are not that good at taking responsibility for anything saying things will look different at end of development with regards to landscapeing. Disappointing that we have to pay for maintenance on landscapeing and are not getting value for money.

Banbury Rise is a great development. Its location means that you are very close to the countryside, yet also conveniently placed for the many amenities in town, as well as the several retail parks. There is a good mix of house designs and sizes so you are not faced with row after row of the same house that you so often see on other developments. As is often the case with new builds, property management and customer care drops off a little after the initial purchase, but issues/complaints are dealt with eventually. Initially, there was only one road for access and egress to the development, so as the different phases were added, more traffic ensued which made it a bit noisy. However, there is now another junction which spreads the traffic out and it is a lot quieter than it was. If I were to highlight one particular gripe, it is that there is a 6 monthly service charge of £70 (ish) to Meadfleet that is for the maintenance of the surrounding green areas. I guess this would be fine if you were a dog owner, but if you are not, then it seems a little excessive as you find yourself footing the bill to provide a convenience for not only dog owners on the development, but for others who are not. I'm not sure how much it costs to mow grass, but if every house on the development pays £140 per annum, then I would imagine the maintenance contract is very lucrative indeed.

The development is extremely well laid out and has lovely grounds and country walks around it which is good for all ages. There’s also fantastic facilities for kids which include a child play area. The local community (Facebook group) are very friends and helpful

This is my third brand new property and by far the best in terms of build quality, design and fixtures/fittings. I particularly like the diversity of property designs. Stone and brick properties are all integrated into an interesting and cohesive layout that is pleasing to the eye. There is a general feeling of 'space' as properties are not all packed together like sardines in a tin. There is a lot of open park area which is nice for dog walking and general exercise. The development is right on the edge of Banbury so the countryside is easily within walking distance. Property management respond quickly to communication and have always been very civil and helpful.
