Property management team are amazing! They accommodate all of our needs and have really made the experience!
The design is great, although as any new build I think there are a few things that have not been thought about, and I think the quality of building work such as painting and tiling could have been slightly better, but only noticeable when looking for it.
The facilities that we have been able to use so far have been great! We can’t wait to use the rest and meet more residents

We are in the perfect location for bars shops, restaurants, trains, and so easy to get in and out of Manchester. The only bad aspects is parking, it’s very expensive as in the city centre and not really anywhere safe to park- unless you want to pay a fortune.
The street can be slightly noisy but you only hear it if the windows are open.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
I think communication on the amenities could have been clearer – we were not expecting it to be as long as it was for some of the building work to finish.
I also think it’s important to talk to your neighbours, it seems everyone in our building is here for the community aspect and it’s been great to meet new people so far.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
We had a few initial problems with our flat and the team helped us to fix them as quickly as they could and got in the right people to do the job.
Great Place to Live!
The development definitely has resident comfortability and satisfaction at the top of their priority list. The units are furnished well and flexible to use the spare room as a home office with a desk instead of a bed. The rooftop area is ideal with a great view over Ancoats all the way out to some of the rolling hills and the common space up there is perfect for entertaining. The front desk staff is always friendly, helpful, and quick to reply with any questions, comments or needs. Moving from the US to Manchester, Anco & Co has really felt like my home in a new city.

Anco & Co is located perfectly between the Northern Quarter and Ancoats. Tons of restaurants, bars, pubs, coffee shops, etc close by. Being right next door to the Ancoats Market is a huge perk as well. There isn’t a ton of traffic on blossom street so the street noise is relatively quiet unless you’re on Great Ancoats Street.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
Being new to the country I didn’t quite understand the process of applying and of the checks that needed to be done so I asked a lot of questions about that and less about the unit. Check for natural light.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
I have only had to put in one maintenance request and it was addresses very promptly.
Great location and team!
The building fulfils everything I was looking for in an apartment when I was moving. It is new and modern, with really nice furniture and aesthetics in the apartment and building as a whole. I have not tried most of the facilities yet, since I just moved in a few months ago, but it’s nice to know that I have the option of properly working from home in the working space downstairs or popping down to the gym for free. The management and building team have been amazing so far–there were still a few things to fix in the apartment when I moved in, and they were very quick and keen to do them. They were also accommodating and quick when I mentioned some furniture that I wanted switched out, and have been very helpful with any needed maintenance or questions. I think the only thing I would think to improve are notifications regarding packages/deliveries for the ones that I am not expecting.

When I was moving to Manchester, people recommended that I live in Ancoats and I am so glad I took their advice! I love the neighbourhood. It’s vibrant, without feeling too noisy and I feel connected to everything (restaurants, groceries, markets, city centre).
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
I cannot really think of anything, except maybe more information about the neighbourhood.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Before I moved in, they were very helpful in answering some of my questions on the letting process as someone who had just moved to the UK. Once I moved in, they were very quick to address my requests for maintenance, such as promptly changing the existing sofa when I mentioned it was a bit rundown.
Excellent!
Great building with wfh spaces, cinema room and rooftop ‘hideout’ & terrace which gives lovely views of Manchester and beyond.
The staff are so helpful and put events on for residents. Never a bad experience and deliveries are never lost. Also free gym membership at lifestyle fitness next door is a bonus!

Ancoats general store, restaurants and bars literally on the doorstep. Aldi & puregym only a 5min walk away and NQ also very close.

The only thing which was a tiny inconvenience – hobs are induction
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Managed through the residents app and resolved quickly.
Great amenities, we love the cinema room and the hideout is great for classes and parties
Great amenities, we love the cinema room and the hideout is great for classes and parties. The conworking space is great too and everyone is very friendly.
Maisie and Georgia are the regular concierges. Nothing is too much trouble for them! They are great fun and run fantastic events and are so welcoming to all new and existing remnants

Good – fantastic location, right in the heart of Ancoats and a stones throw away from northern quarter.
Some great restaurants in and around he development.
Gym on site which is great and never too busy.
Bad – can sometimes be noisy at weekends being close to bars, this depends on where your flat is
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
Na- I was satisfied that everything about the flat had been disclosed to me before moving in
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Adam is on hand to review any issues. Maisie and Georgia on the front desk are always super helpful should there be any issues
Fantastic Development
Unreal development with high quality apartments and a great customer service! There is always Someone willing to help you no matter what. I lived here over six months now and have been very happy with everything! I really couldn’t recommend it highlight enough.

There isn’t anything specifically I can think of that I needed to know.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Always good with maintenance issues and very helpful
Probably, the best rental apartment block in Manchester!
We loved our time living at Anco and Co and we’re only leaving to buy a house, otherwise, we would have stayed longer.
All the Anco and Co team are really friendly and personable, including maintenance and night security. We felt really secure and safe living at this property which is so important when you’re living in City Centre.
Prices are a little toppy but when you consider the free WIFI, gym and rooftop facilities, the rental costs aren’t too bad. Everything is top spec inside the apartments – the state-of-the-art lighting and heating system was our personal favourite.
If I had one grumble, it would be about the windows. They need cleaning 3/4 times a year. At the moment it’s every 6 months so after two months you’re living with dirty windows. That’s the one negative.

Anco and Co are situated in the perfect location for city centre living. The property is in the heart of Ancoats, one of the most exciting neighbourhoods in Manchester right now – and a stone’s throw away from the Northern Quarter, and with Piccadilly Station being a ten-minute walk away it’s easy to commute in and our of the city.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
The discount that Anco and Co members receive at Mule, next door. I think Anco and Co lack members’ discounts. Other developments have sourced lots of discounts for their tenants – I think a lot more can be done here to secure discounts in the Ancoats area for members and really make it feel like part of a members club.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
All problems were fixed in a speedy timeframe. Whenever I needed a metre reading, this was with us within a day or two. Thankfully we didn’t have many problems.
Great apartments
The flat is set out really well – it is furnished to a high standard. The staff are always helpful and it is very dog friendly – unlike other complexes dogs are allowed in the communal areas.
You get free access to the gym downstairs however it is rather sma but there is a large pure gym nearby.
The building is spotlessly clean and the wifi very fast.

Located in very central Ancoats about 10-15mins from Victoria and Piccadilly station. Lots of places to eat and drink nearby, a big Aldi and 2 smaller shops.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
The doors can be a bit loud when shutting but this isnt a problem
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Yes. A curtain pole fell down but this was repaired within a few hours.
Looks can be deceiving
Design is great but more aesthetically than practical. Building management is poor with regards to maintenance and has changed building manager multiple times since opening a year an a half ago. Facilities like the shared spaces are great.

Good bars all within walking distance. Could do with more park and green areas.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
We wouldnt get things fixed when we asked.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Respond eventually but then it takes at least 6 weeks to get anything seen. And then another 6 weeks fixed.
The best city centre living you’ll find around ancoats
Staff is very friendly and always welcoming, building is impecable and a great out of home workspace as well as for hosting events for friends etc.
Property management could be improved with an additional member of staff to help ensure all maintenance requests are seen to and sorted.
Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:
Plethora of restaurants, bars and pubs at the doorstep. Building is very well isolated so we can’t hear the nightlife outside.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
Neighbours are super friendly, real community feel with events for residents. 24-7 concierge certainly helps feeling safe when getting back late and they’re always super friendly!
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Any maintenance requests done through the app are normally seen to within 3 days, although on the rare occasion I’ve needed to chase through email.
The Great Anco and Co !
The concierges and management team really pull this place together to make it what it is. They have a genuine concern on our well being, always saying hello and sparking conversation, really means the world.
Design is brilliant and rooftop is amazing. I think there needs to be better ventilation in the apartments and the taps/sinks better designed as water goes everywhere
The cream carpets are beautiful but it’s quite difficult to keep them looking pristine, maybe a different colour or material may be more appropriate
Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:
Extensive range of bars and restaurants, everything is on your door step. New Islington marina is just around the corner which is beautiful and has the fave best wine bar, flawd wine.
Transport links are good, 10 mins to Piccadilly and trams are really close, but it’s so walkable around here everything can be done by foot which is good for health.
The street is very safe and lovely. There is a lot of traffic and police cars around which can sometimes be a little noisy in the flat but nothing than installing thicker glass in the windows can’t resolve!

How much of a community vibe it is living here. You’ll never feel alone and everybody here is so nice, I have never had any issues with my neighbours nor them me.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
They resolved many issues and problems I’ve faced with genuine concern from management team and with efficiency! I love being a tenant here.
