The Quarters Kilburn Apartments has a simple design, high standard and a modern convenient furnished such as a kitchen with a fully equipped (except oven and fan), bed with a convenient mattress (according to standard of firmness scale is a medium, which is very good), wardrobe and desk with chairs, lights are very suitable, wooden floor and heaters. Also, the building has been included a secure systems (CCTV and smoke/fire systems). Further, they have a good broadband provider for internet. Further more, all the environment of building is very convenient and clean. One of the features of building has a Starbucks cafe store.
We don’t forget the team-works that stands behind the management and maintenance with leaded by Selna Franco. She has all the ingredients for success in managing the building, whether on a personal or professional level. She is a friendly & patient to solve and all problems and make everything easy for the tenant. She is always smiling. All staff very friendly and helpful.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

The Quarters Kilburn Apartments is located in area which is available a variety of banks, supermarkets, restaurants, bars, Gym’s and shopping stores. I think so all what you need is available in that local area. Also, It has been located near to Paddington Recreation Ground (Gardens). All public transportations are available and near such as Kilburn overground, Kilburn park underground and buses. The Kilburn High Road is a bit crowded through the day but peaceful in the night.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The location is very great.

What is the best feature of your home:

Suitable area, clean, convenient color’s wall and safe.

Manager Response

Dear Alaa,

It gives me great pleasure to be the one to share your wonderful feedback with the team.

We are so happy to hear that you have enjoyed your time at The Quarters Kilburn and we really appreciate your comments.

With great pride we take time in focusing on guest satisfaction and making our studios comfortable and convenient.

Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your experience.

All the best,
The Quarters Team

High Quality Property but needs better staffing!

A high quality studio room at a reasonable price, all bills except council tax and WiFi are included in a package for £40 a month, which is very convenient. Most doors require a key fob to open so it feels very safe. Other residents are friendly, and there is nothing to complain about regarding noise levels. Staff are friendly, but their working hours (10-6) are inconvenient for those working, I wish they would stay a bit later! They also charge an extortionate “outcall” amount if you forget/lose your keys and need to be let in outside of working hours. Also, the laundry room is quite expensive – I’ve used the same laundry provider before at previous rentals that charge half as much as the machines in the Quarters do!

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Very close to East Croydon station, can get to central London very quickly. Plenty of shops and supermarkets within walking distance, including Box Park.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

You view a show flat, so you don’t see your actual flat till you move in – just something to keep in mind when making a rental decision. Also, I was told that there would be free WiFi. This free WiFi option offered, is very slow, and is actually “guest WiFi” – you have to log back in every two hours.

The best thing about this place is that the flats are modern

The best thing about this place is that the flats are modern – they are quite small, but I found that cozy.
Having to keep a key card for electricity can get annoying, but if you request a 2nd card (£25 fee), that eliminates that problem.
I’ve enjoyed my time here, but this place is ideal for people looking for short-term rental options, not long-term.
Not having a stove is also a con as you cannot actually cook anything in the building, so be prepared to order take-out a lot.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Pros:
– Close to station & supermarket
– Good value for money (rent)
– Thick walls and windows so the flats are quite
Cons:
– No Kitchen
– Laundry is quite expensive
– Fees when moving out

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

– Fire alarms went off quite often, which was annoying
– Communication with residents should be better. If someone is entering my flat, I should know about this. Many times maintenance staff have entered my flat without informing me of this.

Definite things to improve upon…

The building is nice and consistently maintained (on the inside) with regular cleaning, painting, etc. Besides a small sitting area in the front corridor, there are no ‘special’ facilities. The laundry room is maintained, however I should note that there are only 5 washers/dryers for the whole building and can get very irritating when people aren’t courteous and leave their clothing for longer than the time allotted. Also, the Circuit app for laundry seems to be hit and miss sometimes. I will also note that the landscaping in the back of The Quarters could use some TLC. It is a public car park, which has never been an issue, but people don’t have respect for the property. Lastly, the rubbish also seems to be an issue with people being too lazy to walk to the other bins instead placing their items in the walkway causing it to pile up quickly and blow away.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Very close to every shop you would need. Also, close to food (Boxpark) and many restaurants. East Croydon train station is a 5 minute walk from the building.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish I had known how long it would take to add another tenant to the tenancy agreement, or just how slow any communication is in general with the front desk. (Don’t wait on tender hooks for a reply to your email- it likely won’t come unless you badger management!)

Ideal living space for a single professional, you instantly feel at home

Though it is a little more expensive for a one bedroom studio than other similar properties in the area, the extra cost is worth it. Most importantly for the building manager Selna who not only deals with any request you might have but also makes you feel welcome and at home as you walk through the lobby. The security is brilliant, you feel safe as soon as you walk through the door. The maintenance guys are also brilliant, quickly and efficiently fixing anything you need after just one email. The literal only downside is the washing machine and dryer facilities which in my opinion are not enough to service the whole building especially since one of the dryers is not very good at all. Apart from that, for a single professional like me it is the ideal living environment with everything you need, inside and out, so close by.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Tesco is so close, about a 2 min walk away. Kilburn Park station is really close and there are lots of buses & night buses (bus stop outside of the Quarters). There’s great restaurants/eateries and bars/pubs along Kilburn High Road as well as shops (Primark, Argos)

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Extra payments: For continuous reliable internet, you need to pay extra. You have to pay a large fee if you lock yourself out of your flat. You have to pay an additional cleaning cost of £100. You have to pay for the washing machines. It felt like there were a lot of additional costs that I wasn’t expecting when I first moved in.
Also on another note you can hear the nearby overground train as it goes past at night but it is faint and I actually really liked it.
