I have found a place I can call home.

I must say this is hands-down the best apartment building ever. I had lived in many nice apartments in London over the years but none quite like this. The building is brand-new and looks stylish and spotless. There is a fantastic Clubhouse available exclusively for residents should you feel like hanging out with friends, playing pool table or simply chilling. Residents have also access to a compact yet functional gym. I have found a place I can call home!

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

The area in which this outstanding development is located is without a doubt the one reason why you should move here tomorrow. The Whitmore Collection is perfectly positioned in the heart of the city of Birmingham, the Jewellery Quarter. This area is vibrant, young and stunning. I’m in love with the marvellous water canals, with the countless choices of restaurants and bars as well as the modern and immaculate architecture. Everything is within walking distance, including the enchanted Brindleyplace, which is exactly what I wanted.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

At risk of sounding like a broken record, I’m going to once again praise the neighbourhood. Safe, full of amenities, lively and clean. In short, extraordinarily charming.

What is the best feature of your home:

I genuinely didn’t expect the development to be located in such a strategically extraordinary area. There is an infinite amount of amenities within walking distance. My absolute favourite has to be the enviable canals.

Manager Response

Bless you Andrea,
As I read, I found myself thinking, “Best apartment building ever? Ever, Ever?…Ever, Ever? Wow, I wanna live here!”
-Reality check- I work here.
And just as you call us Home, we consider you Family.
Thank you.

Ultra-modern city centre home

West Tower is an ultra-modern development with a lot of convenient facilities and services. The staff are very friendly and helpful, making you feel very welcome. The apartments are all very cleverly designed and equipped with high spec fittings and technology. The provided furniture is of high quality and seems very durable. My particular one-bedroom apartment, which is the smallest available size, offered surprisingly more space and storage opportunities than I initially expected, and for the price, is definitely a winner! I am very excited for the amenities that are due to open in early 2020, which will surely improve my experience at West Tower even further!

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

West Tower is very conveniently situated right next to all available transport links, making it easy to move around Manchester City centre. The development is situated between my favourite areas/ neighbourhoods in the city – First Street and the Castlefield Canals. Within 10-20 minutes you can reach anywhere in town by foot.
The only downside is, although you may get a prime view over the iconic Deansgate, the street never sleeps. If you keep the windows closed, you can enjoy peace and quiet, however with the windows open, you will often hear traffic, trains/trams and ongoing construction work.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

If possible/affordable, I would suggest to move higher up in the building to avoid noise from the streets.

Love living at The Grain Store!

The design of the apartments is very modern and easy to keep clean. You are also allowed to decorate it yourself, which is a huge plus and quite unusual in rented accommodation. Plus, EPC rating is a B, which is one of the main reasons I moved here (my last flat was exempt from EPC rating and was absolutely freezing!). I’m warm all year round in this apartment.

For the price we’re paying, the flat is enormous and there’s a choice of 6 month or 12 month contracts – very flexible.

Rubbish and recycling is super easy, you don’t even have to leave the building. Feels very safe and everything is always super clean in the communal areas and hallways.

You’re allowed pets, which is unusual in Bath and really appreciated.

Staff are always extremely helpful and friendly! They will take your parcels at the office which is so convenient. If there’s ever an issue with an appliance it’s sorted within 1 or 2 days.

If I have any criticisms, I would say that the kitchen space is too small. There’s barely any space for basic kitchen equipment and this seems to be true in all flats, regardless of size. Secondly, the residents’ gym isn’t really fit for purpose as it doesn’t have proper weights, benches and a squat rack, which are essentials. Luckily, Puregym is only downstairs, but it would be nice to have a proper gym included in the package.

Overall it’s an amazing place to live and I think we’ll be here for a long time!

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

A great thing about living at Spring Wharf is the view from our window, which looks out on lots of lovely rooftops and greenery. Two adorable cafés (Coffee #1 and Cassia) are a 10 minute walk away and I go there all the time to get some work done or just to chill. In the other direction and a similar distance is Velo Lounge, which is great for a drink, and on the same street is a load of charity shops. Victoria Park is again very close and easily reachable for a lunchtime walk.
Transport to Bristol or London is really easy, as Oldfield Park Station is just up the road a 10 min walk away.
There aren’t many restaurants nearby, however, and the place is close to both a busy road and a police station, so I hear sirens multiple times a day. Perhaps some better soundproofing could sort this out?

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

It’s hard to criticise this place as it really is such a great find. I suppose it would be nice to have more proper residents’ events.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

They have always been quick and helpful to resolve any issues.

Staff were professional and very accommodating. They offer help in any circumstances when approached if there is any problem exist. The facilities is excellent and i enjoyed staying in here and would like to extend my stay. I would like to extend my greetings to the team for their excellent job.

The design of the property is very modern and up to date model. The ground floor in the garden by the tennis court was amazing offering a big place for the kids and pets to walk and play around. The concierge team in the front desk and the admins are very friendly, accommodating and listened well of any concerns we have. The maintenance team is energetic and solved any issues promptly and professionally. Overall management and facilities is excellent .

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

There is a good range of choices of local shops around the area which is close-by. There is Cooperative shop which is 2-3 minutes away walking distance. There is 24 hours off licence also close to Cooperative shop and there is a Turkish restaurant available for eating in and take-away meals. The Tesco shop is also closeby walking distance and one Asian shop that offers a variety of Asian groceries . Fish and chip and chicken restaurant is also available for eating in and takeaway walking distance only.

Tottenham Hale is also very close which has a lot of choices of shops and restaurant and cafe which is 15-20 minutes walk or 5 minutes by bus. Good transport choices very convenient. three choices of transport from underground and overground and buses. If there is problem with trains buses is available. The street is peaceful and safe. Bin chutes sometimes have issue that needs repair but main bin room area is accessible downstairs. Good sound proof in our walls and windows as i can’t hear traffic noises outside my apartment.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

If any playground facilities available for children, it is good for families who has childrens.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Whenever issues raised of concerns the management replies email quickly and responded with thorough explanation and what is the steps to deal with the issue.

Amongst the best apartments you could get in Manchester

The overall experience at West Tower is breathtaking. It has been built and furnished to the highest standards. Best thing you could hope for within its price range. As of the end of August, the building is still the pilot phase so I appreciate that staff are still settling in, but they have been extremely nice with me. Something to keep in mind though is that the surrounding area of Deansgate Square is still under construction so it will get noisy while the windows are open. However, this should come to an end in several months. Overall, it is absolutely worth it

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Area is still under construction so it gets pretty noisy during the day. However, closing the window will eliminate most of the noise. The facilities such as gym, pool and garden are still be launched in several months time. I believe that it will be wonderful when it opens. Staff are really nice but I sometimes feel like they are very unresponsive to requests (physically and by email), but I think that this will get much better over time when the staff settle in, as the building is still a few months old. Besides that, I have pretty much enjoyed everything in the building such as the gorgeous designs and good quality of the furniture. Something worth noting is that they provide free tea and coffee.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The appliances are almost silent which is something amazing. However, I was surprised to find out that there was no microwave although I was specifically told that there is one before I moved in.
