We’ve not been able to get contact at all from clarion

Property management is very poor as I said above we’ve not been able to get contact at all from clarion regarding issues we have had. I have spoke to some of the home owners who have also had the same issues. They have now taken it further to the ombudsman of clarion and don’t seem to be getting anywhere.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Since moving into my maisonette, no defects have been fixed. And the overall structure of the maisonette is very poor. I can hear all my neighbours conversations upstairs. Which is lucky I get along with them. The location however is lovely. I’ve reportedly tried lots of times to contact my developers to get them to come and fix my crossed meters. My gas and electric meters are crossed with my neighbour upstairs so we haven’t been able to pay gas or electric since we moved in July 2020. The bins are not collected regularly which lead to build up of rubbish which could then lead to us having rats. We only have one large general waste bin and one large recycling bin for 6 families to use. So you can imagine how quickly they fill up. I have also reported that the houses behind us keep using our bins when they shouldn’t and nothing seems to have been done about it. Overall, clarion seem to have just put us here and left us to it.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish I’d have known the extent of the ignorance I’d receive.

Great complex in a lovely area

The Prince of Wales Drive development is a modern complex with all the facilities you would reasonably expect. There is a fully manned post room, spa facilities abs roof top terrace which is accessible for tenants and owners alike. Within the complex there’s a small local shop and a private gym with a discount for residents. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Since the opening of the new local Tesco express there has been a rise in anti social behaviour, particularly drinking at the benches located at the front of the complex which has become quite a nuisance.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Battersea is a lovely area which is underpinned by the best park in London. Proximity to the river is also a huge bonus as the Thames Path is a lovely walk. Now we also have a tube station along with the train station and a range of bus routes. Even though there are plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from Battersea does lack a solid high street like most other large areas in London.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish I had explored the area more as there isn’t really a local high street. Kings Road or Northcote road are the closest. Proximity to the park does help with this.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

We have had several
Issues in the 13 months we have lived here and all have been dealt with swiftly.

Friendly Boathouse

We overlook the canal with lovely views of the Quays. The inside of the flats are kept clean and bright. We have a friendly group of flat owners with a what’s app group for everyone arranging to meet up for beers, quizzes, borrow tools and help with any problems people have especially for deliveries if you have to be out. Perhaps more importantly the group share experiences and collate views for the managing agent. As a relatively recent development the residents have been able to feedback several teething problems to help resolve. The group also acts as a form of neighbourhood watch if anything suspicious appears to be happening.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

We have private parking at the development but other parking options are available at nearby hotel and car park.
We are close to Old Trafford which increases traffic a lot on game day but never had a problem regarding noise or behaviour. Post game the streets clear very quickly. Very close to Salford Quays with a range of shops, bars and restaurants.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

There is a proposed new 30 floor development nearer the quays which the block has opposed. It’s difficult to see how the current infrastructure would cope with such a large influx of new tenants/owners.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Building management were initially slow to respond although individuals on site were always really helpful. Since the residents coordinated responses the agent has been much better. Mist of the development has now been sold which has perhaps changed the agents focus towards current owners. A poor start but functions well now with good engagement and relationships between agent and residents.

Best choice we made

We loved how clean everything looked. Neat rows of beautiful houses. A tad tight on parking. I love how our front grass gets cut and we don’t have to worry about it. The down side is we can not replant with plants we want rather then boring green bushes. But it’s a minor. We were a bit worried about the rumours that you can hear your neighbours like they are in your house. But a week in now and we haven’t heard anything! We’ll pleased!

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Fantastic big village with beautiful country walks Everything you need, easy access to A14. Good commute (train too) to Cambridge. Parking near house a bit tight for a bigger car, but we knew that before we bought it. One down side for us is we can hear traffic from A14 at night. But we moved here from rural area. If you are coming from a town, don’t think it would cause any problems. We’ll get used to it ?

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

We can’t hear our neighbours! We were a bit worried, especially after so many horrible stories about new builds. But no, nothing! We’ll pleased.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Reported the leak in gutters. Waiting for repairs. No complaints, just straight promise to fix that.
