Good apartment but dangerous area

The apartments are compact and very nicely done so I have no problem with the apartment’s general design and quality. There is an on site gym but not a lot in it. I think I would use it more if there was better equipment. The concierge is nice but she is not full time. She does 2 hours in the morning and 2 hours in the afternoon. It means that you get your post but not a lot else I guess. As for security if the building itself, it is very secure. We’ve had one case of a homeless man sleeping indoors but that was sorted out within a day. I guess also there was a boiler problem but that was fixed in one day too.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

There are good restaurants in the area and good bars. In addition the central Walthamstow village is literally a couple minutes walk away.

But it gets a bit stabby at night. If I’m coming home from a party at 2am, I literally sprint from curb to taxi as quick as possible. I don’t feel safe coming home at all.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

If you have a street apartment, the floorplan claims there are three windows in the front that you can open. You can only open two and on a hot day on the weekend, the place turns into a sauna. There is no AC and you literally turn into toast.

Nice apartment but area is a bit dangerous

I really like the apartment – we live in a studio so it is small but it is well-designed and does not feel cramped. Most of the appliances are good quality and work well although the light above the stove does not work and some of the plugs are not working (we moved in relatively recently and this has been an issue from the start). The building management are quite average at responding and have not yet fixed these issues.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

I really like the markets and shops nearby. I dislike that the area at the end of the market/high street is pretty run down and a bit dangerous. However, the closer to the station that you live the better in terms of safety (and this residence is only a few minutes walk away). I would never walk alone at night though in this area.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

We were not told by our estate agent that the parking would be such a nightmare – there is no specific parking for the residence and all of the spaces nearby get taken up (this is especially a problem at the weekend). It is also really expensive to pay for parking.

Easily accessible location and great apartment

I like my apartment – it is spacious, modern and attractive. All of the appliances work well and I have not had any issues so far. The building management are good but I have not had any major issues so I have not had much contact with them. There is also a small gym and sauna within the residence.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

I really like how accessible it is – the tube station is nearby and you can easily walk to lots of shops and restaurants. I don’t really dislike anything.

The perfect place

For us, this is the ideal appartment in the ideal location!
Whilst we love having a gym on site, we have yet to use it!
Concierge service is a great benefit, and Laura does a great job!
We don’t intend to ever move!

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

A perfect location with shops, restaurants and bars quite literally on our doorstep and central London around 20 mins away on the Victoria line, a few mins walk from our front door!

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Theres no parking, but with the transport links, who needs a car!

If there is one thing you would change about your flat or property what would it be:

Unfortunately, we only rent. Thats all we would change!
