Pretty and Green

I love living here! There’s loads of parks and greenery which makes it more visually pleasing. I can easily walk to Hammersmith and theres a road local to us full of cute coffee shops. I do wish that the high street had more to offer as there are only a few chicken shops and corner stores. The area is also quite safe, I feel comfortable living here. We were told we get 4 visitor parking spaces however we never got this. My flat is great! We’ve had no structural damages so its been built with good quality. I haven’t had to use the heating much as the flat retains a lot of heat! The bills and council tax are reasonably priced. The flat is modern, bright and spacious, I get light coming in all day. The kitchen is the best part of the flat. The building management are a little slow with taking care of issues as we’ve heard however we’ve had no issues which is great. Our neighbours are friendly and easy to live around.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Like – The transport links are great, I can commute around London easily.
Dislike – There aren’t enough supermarkets in the area.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Theres nothing I wish I knew about this development before moving in.

Quiet and clean

My house has been designed specifically for wheelchair use which means it’s big and spacious making it comfortable for me to move around with a wheelchair. Its stays pretty warm in the winter but does get too hot in the summer. We weren’t given any furniture when moving in but the process of shifting was easy! We dont get much noise from traffic apart from a few police cars and its very safe living here! There are many local shops nearby, e.g an Iceland about 10mins away. The parks are great for the kids when we need to get them out! Building management are okay, we did have a major leak when we moved in which is unusual for a new build but the issue was dealt with. We have to contact the council to who contact Hill for repairs.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Like – Its quite close to the kids school which makes it a convenient place to live.
Dislike – Theres not enough disabled parking in the area which means its difficult to find parking spaces big enough so that we can easily get my wheelchair in and out.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish I knew about the lack of disabled parking before moving in.

If there is one thing you would change about your flat or property what would it be:

The property should’ve come with a disabled parking space!

Great New Scheme in an incredible area.

Layouts of the flats are great. Square, bright, big windows and good specs. Solid floors and higher end fitted appliances. They have actively changed the exterior materials of the buildings in order it doesn’t feel like you are living in a cloned flat and i think they have achieved it brilliantly. Communal areas are cleaned regularly and always look good. Security is very good. Having a concierge is handy for deliveries and keeping an eye on the place during the day when everyone is out and about. The gym is great if you aren’t a serious gym junkie but has a decent range of machines and weights. More than enough to get your fix.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Huge redevelopment which has made the area even more enjoyable and vibrant than when we first moved here. Beer is never more than a few meters away however there are now a great range of restaurants and businesses opening up making it ‘buzzier’. Not a huge amount to dislike. As there is a lot being redeveloped i suppose there is a good bit of building going on but i don’t really notice it.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish i had know how difficult parking was going to be to get otherwise i would have bought a space or rented one at the very beginning.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

We have only ever had the hot water go and Hill fixed it within a few hours.

Super Place in Mosaics Oxford

Design of the development is well thought out and attractive. Nice green spaces, including a lake, to stroll around. The place is kept neat and tidy. Facilities by way of a shop are lacking at the moment so you have to get into a car to buy a pint of milk but a shop is coming in due course so that’s fine. Property management is responsive. On site property management person is very responsive indeed. Still waiting for some turfing to be finished off outside my building (and I’ve been here 18 months) but I know the property management person is liaising with Hill to get that finished. I have no doubt it will be done. In terms of my own property, the internal design and quality of everything is absolutely super. I would recommend.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Lovely surroundings with a lot of effort put into the landscaped grounds. The development looks nice. A good mix of different styles that work together and make is aesthetically pleasing. Transport links are brilliant by car and bus. Parking is fine, although the contractor who monitors parking can be over-zealous. (my daughter parked up and came straight to my apartment to get a visitor’s permit. She returned to her car to find she’d had a ticket slapped on her windscreen with no warden in sight. The appeal was ignored and I had to pay a £60 fine which was crazy unfair. That felt like a scam and left a bad taste. Putting that to one side, I love living here.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish I had known that the building was not cabled to enable electric car charging points. I really assumed that a charging point would either be in situ for each apartment or could be installed at a reasonable cost, particularly noting the price of of my apartment (+£500K) and focus on the development being ‘green’. Turns out there is a cost of £18K to connect the building which would need to be covered by the (9) apartment owners, with the individual cost therefore being high), plus . There the cost on top for installing charging points. Why the building wasn’t cabled to enable car charging is beyond me.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Yes. Minor issues, e.g regarding a faulty smoke detector which seems stubbornly to continue to malfunction. The response from the management company is always very quick. I know they are working with Hill to resolve. They have also been quick to answer questions and clarify stuff for me. Very good.
