Greenwich Peninsula Reviews “Fantastic quality build. Very modern feel to the apartment with nice touches, such as Siemens appliances, underfloor heating, Villeroy & Boch sanitary installations etc. Efficient concierge service (never had a package rejected and always get a text reminding me to collect shipments from the office). Typical residents’ gym that is kept clean and generally well-looked after. Another ‘cool’ feature of the development is laundry lockers, where you can leave your clothes to be collected and delivered back by a dry cleaner.”  Verified Resident, The Norton

The Upper Riverside development has everything you need in one place. It bears two well-equipped and well-staffed gym areas, inclusive of a pool and steam room. This is great for a daily detox. I’ve also really enjoyed the amenities such as the multimedia room where I’ve been able to enjoy nights in with friends and family. The buildings are well managed with 24-hour concierge assistance and the life-saving Hub service.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Greenwich Peninsula is the perfect location. You have a real sense of a community, a food and shopping outlet on your doorstep and some of London’a best landmarks just a short walk away.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Prior to moving in, I wish I had known more about parking alternatives for family and friends on event days at the O2 as it has been quite difficult to facilitate this at times.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Building management staff have been quite responsive to problems or issues which I’ve raised. They have been prompt and helpful where able.

Great location, great views but lifeless

I was approached by two polite young girls on my way back from the hospital and asked to do a review on my building and asked to do a review on my flat, here’s what i have to say; i live in a one bedroom by myself and I feel like my flat is large enough to have guest over.
There’s a very large balcony connected to my flat which I really like aswell as the stunning view.
I like that the development itself is luxurious and modern, it’s very aesthetically pleasing .
The facilities in the building are very convenient such the cinema, the gym, roof top terrace and the concierge.
I always feel safe and have had no problems with security.

One thing i unfortunately dislike is how crazy hot it can get in summer.

Upperriverside and the surrounding area really break the mould when it comes to the standard they provide!

Where do I start?

Upperriverside and the surrounding area really break the mould when it comes to the standard they provide!

We recently moved from Canary Wharf with the hope Greenwich would bring activities and community, and it certainly delivered.

Concierge for all 4 buildings in upper riverside are so helpful and friendly. We’ve been here since July and they’ve helped us every step of the way. Our flat is ultra modern, and as we are the 18th floor, the views of London are breathtaking.

The aftercare team have also helped us with any little requests we have made about the flat & management always take the communities feedback on board.

Our apartment is ultra-modern and perfect for a couple working in central London, as the commute is only 20 minutes to Westminster and 25 to Marleybone – ideal for a stress-free morning commute.

I’ve never been part of such a community where everyone is so happy and ours neighbours are all friends- it’s great!

We also know people that live in the Lighterman and Besserman who regularly enjoy workouts with us and take walks with them to enjoy the many parks in the surrounding area.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

There is so much to do! Our favourite bar has to be Ardoa, their wine and food is incredible. We also love a long walk down the river where there is an ecology park, perfect environment for relaxing on the weekend.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I would have liked to have had more knowledge on the services available (The tide). I’m now a member and go frequently, as I joined through a friend.

What is the best feature of your home:

The best feature has to be the views from our balcony and rooftop terrace.

Building 1 over view

Building 1 is a nice building. It is however disappointing not to have concierge in the reception. The building is accessible by the public and non residents being by the entrance to the tide and Ardoa and cafes can access the post room and risk safety. I’ve never understood why there is no furniture on the roof terrace of floor 18 when all other buildings have furniture so there is no chairs or tables to relax and enjoy that area, is this something that is being looked into? Some rooftops have too much furniture and so could lend this to building 1. The reception area in building 1 also has very limited seating or relaxing space compared to other buildings where they have nice sofas, chairs and tables. Can this be revisited.? I’d also say the design and layout of the flats are smaller than other buildings.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

The location of the development is excellent. Transport links are great and being by the river is lovely. There could be more bars and restaurants for that community feel. Affordable Parking could be better and a limit on social housing is necessary because it is having an impact on the look and feel of the area.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

That the wall to my flat is adjacent to social housing. Had I known I may not have purchased the property due to ongoing noise issues. Access to amenities are not permitted to shared ownership residents even if you staircase to own 100% which is poor even when the owners are willing to pay for them. This really needs to be reviewed.

If there is one thing you would change about your flat or property what would it be:

I would most definitely change the layout. The internal design is awkward and clunky giving no appreciation of space or storage. Some interior finishes feel rushed. Access to the balcony from the living area would’ve been better than from the bedroom.

Beautifully designed apartments with a few cut corners

The design and location of the development is great: about 5 minutes from the tube station and each apartment has beautiful furniture and immaculate finishing. There are also a bevvy of amenities, as you can access the receptions, rooftops, and gyms of each building (there are 5 in total). Few drawbacks would be that the building 2 reception is the only one that generally receives and holds parcels (so you will have to leave the building to get these if you don’t live in building 2), and that the apartments don’t have full-fledged air conditioning, but instead have something called comfort cooling, which is just a disappointing feature as it doesn’t host the cooling properties one would expect from such a modern development. Additionally, I question how long the beauty of the apartments will last, as it seems quite prone to smudging and scraping, and without recurring upkeep, the apartments will probably lose much of their glory. This all might have been the result of some attempt in saving costs, which would be a true shame.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

The area seems lively and vibrant and there is plenty of greenery around. The area, despite the vibrancy and the relatively high amount of skaters, never feels dangerous or anything of the sort, it is just a fun location where people of all cultures come together.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The functionality (or lack thereof) of the comfort cooling system.

What is the best feature of your home:

The aesthetics are quite wonderful, from the design of the flat to the views that are accessed through the floor to ceiling windows, especially considering these are basically double in height of your normal windows.
