About GreenSquare Accord
GreenSquare and Accord Housing Association merged in 2021 to form GreenSquare Accord, providing high quality homes for those in low incomes.
The green areas, especially the fields at the end of the stray are lovely,I can walk my dogs round there, hardly ever meet anyone and it’s like being in the countryside, you forget its a housing estate. I am a bit concerned about the way a lot of the houses seem to be thrown up,some seem to be moved into before they are finished and builders are coming back and doing stuff after residents have moved in. I am also concerned as since I moved in I have developed breathing issues and so have my neighbours, both me and my next door neighbour have been diagnosed with asthma after never having it before and the neighbour nextdoor along who had asthma when she was a kid now has it again and her and her family has had chest infections. We have reported the mould growing in every room throughout the houses to greensquare but was told its not there problem!!
Having the shops in the village now are great although shops and pubs are in walking distance. It’s a great place for owning and walking dogs as plenty of green areas and lit footpaths leading from the village to other parts of Swindon. Car drivers, especially builders drive way to fast through the village and seems to be a lot of weed being smoked. There is certain areas where the police seem to visit regularly and nothing seems to to get done with those residents. Mainly the people and the atmosphere here is lovely but there are also several households that don’t appreciate the property that they have been literally given and make it miserable for the people that live around them. I’m lucky,my road is great,my neighbours are lovely but I know its not the same for everyone.
Nothing
The only problem i have with my build is alot of the time I’ve had to call out greensquare to sort toilet out as it bubbles dirty water quite often…also coming home at a school time to my parking space taken from parents picking kids up can become very dangerous to them parking on pathways making it hard to get in to my street at times
I feel the area could do with a bit more such as a takeaway shop yum that would be nice
Quite alot crime in the area with parks being set on fire…freaky looking people trying to look in to ur houses
Design is a bit odd, could be layed out better! Things aren’t placed strategically or logically. Size lf the property is good! Could also have more storage!
Ongoing issues with mould within the property which isn’t ideal.
Good area to live in, nice area, shops close by! Parking could be better
Don’t just jump in but pay attention to what you have and whether it’s suitable.
I think once a job gets started it should be finished.. I.e the park. The facilities in tadpole are okay.. the shop is handy, although a take away or something would be good. Overall I like living here.. the main downside of it would be the roads and how narrow they are in some areas. Also some double yellow lines opposite the big park wouldn’t go a miss!
Since living here I have diggers and machines passing the house constantly, they leave a lot of mud on the road which can be dangerous.. we have a sweeper that comes by to clear it but all these vehicles are extremely loud. My garden is not even.. the bumpy in places and also gets water logged as soon as it rains.. not ideal with young children. The park opposite which is still being built.. I genuinely don’t think it will ever get finished.. it’s just been left when we were told it would be finished in august. A lot of the roads around tadpole are extremely narrow.. a nightmare when driving.
Nothing I can really moan about.. although I’m quite shocked since living here the landlord hasn’t carried out a check on the houses to make sure everything is to standard etc.
