Native Reviews

“The concierge are just amazing. When there was a minor issue in the flat, such as the lightbulb fusing, (or when I accidentally broke the TV cable), the concierge reacted immediately. The problems were fixed and replaced instantaneously. In previous flat I had issues with my post and parcels, but here it’s just so much easier since the concierge take all deliveries. All the furnishing in my flat is brand new and well done to a style that suits me. There is complimentary WiFi which is a massive bonus. One great feature was when I moved in; they sent an email with instructions for how to set up the bills and use the utilities. I thought this was an extra touch where Dalston Works goes the extra mile.” – Adam, a verified resident at Dalston Works You can read more reviews from Native residents by clicking on the properties below. High Recommend

I have looked for somewhere to live in Leeds for the last 6 months and I am confident this is the best apartment block and is absolutely amazing value for money, from the security of the building to friendly staff and luxury apartments, you couldn’t ask for anymore. The Junction have got it right – pet friendly, working professionals (cap on students), gorgeous meeting and dining rooms for booking, dishwashers and en-suites. I would recommend this development to anyone looking to rent in or around Leeds.

The staff are unbelievably good at what they do. Michelle could not have been more helpful and went above and beyond to sort my lease. I started looking for a one-bed but was so impressed by the Flats I rented a two-bed. Tahlia was instrumental in this, showing me a variety of apartments and listening to my must-haves. Matthew is a warm friendly face on reception and has settled me in. Nothing is too much to ask for the staff here, they are a great team and an absolute asset to the business. There is nowhere in Leeds that offers such high standard, affordable living with such a great management team.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

This is a great area to live, right in the heart of Leeds, next to the Legal and Finance District of the City. You want for nothing here with supermarkets, coffee shops, bars and restaurants just a stones throw away. No longer than a 10 minute walk into the City Centre, Granary Warf and Leeds Train Station. For such a central location it is surprising how quiet and peaceful it is, you can’t hear the constructions works going on in Leeds and the flats have a great view of the train lines. The bin and recycling facilities are great and enough room for everyone.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Honestly nothing the team have been wonderful in answering all my questions – I can’t fault them

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Very quickly. The staff are on hand to help 24/7 and want to make sure you are comfortable / have everything you need.

What is the best feature of your home:

Bathroom lighting and dishwasher

The Junction: A Fresh New Development with Plenty of Potential!

The Junction offers a modern and fresh design, with spacious and open flats. Flats and lifts are accessed via a fob which provides a feeling of a fancy hotel and the welcome package with products from local and environmentally friendly brands was a nice surprise.

The development has its Secret Garden at the doorstep, but also has an internal garden for residents between The Exchange and Signal Apartments with a short trail to walk and ping-pong tables. There are two co-working spaces for those who work from home, complete with bookable meeting rooms and a coffee machine with free coffee. There are also two bookable dining rooms for when you want to host a dinner party but want more space.

The staff and management are extremely friendly and responsive, with a focus on building a community, including regular community events and a resident app that allows you to meet and communicate with your neighbours. The Junction also has it’s own service team and service requests are addressed swiftly.

However, as a new development, there are still some kinks to iron out. The ongoing construction may be a turn-off for some, and the planned stores and businesses in the arches under Monk Bridge may not suit everyone’s preferences especially if they want a very quiet area. Parcel delivery may also be delayed for couriers still unfamiliar with the area. There is no gym yet, but plans are in place to add one within the next year.

My least favourite aspect of living at The Junction has been the wifi. It is included in the rental price which is great! However, the maximum speed is only 200~250 Mbps. Admittedly, I work in the software industry so my needs are different from the average person but I currently have no option to upgrade to a higher speed. I originally had 300~500 Mbps and with the slower speed, it struggles with 4K content and larger content that may be required for my work.

The public internet in the co-working spaces is also slower. I would suggest that management consider switching to Hyperoptic. They cater to high-rise developments, have been very reliable for my wife and I, are super-fast, and have responsive and knowledgeable staff just like the Junction!

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

The Junction is an excellent place to live outside of Leeds City Centre, offering residents the best of both worlds. The location is prime, providing easy access to city life while still avoiding the noise and commotion that comes with it. Leeds Train Station is only a short hop away, opening up a world of possibilities for those who want to explore the city’s various offerings or simply get away. There are plenty of bars, cafes, and eateries around for the foodies, as well as convenient corner stores to pick up that one grocery item you’re missing.

In addition to its excellent location, The Junction has many natural attractions that offer a welcome break from the hustle and bustle. The canal and river are perfect for a leisurely stroll or jog, and the Secret Garden is right at your doorstep, offering a natural escape from city life. The Junction also provides plenty of transportation options, including nearby bus links to get around Leeds, or you can even hire a car through the Junction’s partnership with Enterprise’s Car Club.

However, as of April 2023, there is a significant amount of construction going on in the area. While the Secret Garden and the other towers of The Junction are in the midst of completion, other nearby residences and the arches underneath the Monk Bridge are still under construction. This results in some construction noise, but the flat itself has excellent noise isolation, minimizing the impact on residents.

Overall, The Junction offers an excellent location and many natural attractions, making it an attractive place to live. While the ongoing construction may be a temporary inconvenience, the noise isolation of the flat ensures that it doesn’t cause too much disruption.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

During our viewings, we didn’t get quite how loud the construction can be at times but we don’t expect the construction to stay around too long during our tenancy. We would’ve also liked faster, more reliable internet as software professionals.

Regarding the good: the apartment has killer views that we just couldn’t appreciate as much when we were viewing haha.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

I originally had issues with smoke alarm low battery chirpings in unoccupied apartments near mine and raised this concern with management. They immediately responded and replaced those batteries so my wife and I did not have to hear the chirp any longer! Other issues stemming before move-in such as loose bolts pertaining to a balcony railing and minor issues with the door latch or toilet seat were also immediately addressed which was greatly appreciated!

Great location: close to shopping centre, Boxpark, and East Croydon station. Overall, convenient and vibrant.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

To be honest, there isn’t much I wish I had known beforehand since I was already familiar with the area. However, if there’s one thing worth mentioning, it’s that there might be a few individuals hanging around the shop on the corner at night. They’re mostly harmless, but being aware of their presence is good. It’s something you might encounter in any neighbourhood, as they say, every area has its ups and downs. Overall, I believe it’s important to approach any community with an open mind and embrace its uniqueness.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

The building management has been highly responsive and efficient in addressing any problems or issues I have raised. They have consistently taken prompt action to resolve concerns, ensuring a well-ordered and comfortable living environment. Their attentiveness and commitment to resident satisfaction have been exceptional.

What is the best feature of your home:

The best thing about my home is the incredible views from my balcony. I’m truly fortunate to have a front-row seat to the stunning sights of London. From Canary Wharf to the iconic London Bridge, the cityscape unfolds before my eyes, offering a constant source of awe and inspiration. My balcony has become my personal sanctuary, where I can relax and appreciate the beauty of London from the comfort of my own home.

Quiet, modern and comfortable place to live!

I find the Native Residentials development to be quite impressive. The design is modern and elegant, and it offers a good balance of private and shared spaces. As more blocks are finished, I think the full beauty of the Secret Garden and Viaduct will be revealed, enhancing the overall appeal of the area. In my personal experience, I find the construction of the building to be of good quality and comfortable to reside in. Additionally, the apartment is furnished with temperature control that is energy-efficient, and it has an intercom and video door access system for guests. Furthermore, the building provides abundant co-working space available in two separate units.

The property management team is brilliant in their efforts to foster a sense of community and encourage interaction among residents. From the very start, we were warmly welcomed by Abigail, who patiently guided us through the entire tenancy process. The team frequently arranges events (fitness, baking, etc), and we recently had the pleasure of attending the King’s coronation ceremony organised by them last week. Matthew did an excellent job leading the event, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to explore some stunning places around Leeds (Skipton and Knaresborough so far), thanks to his recommendations. Overall, the management team’s dedication to creating a welcoming and enjoyable living environment is commendable.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

The Junction is within a walking distance from Leeds city centre, making it an ideal place to live for anyone who wants to commute to the city on daily basis. Leeds train station, bus and coach station, Wellington Place office space, pubs and shopping centre are all at a walking distance from the apartment, which means you are never too far from the city amenities. The apartment’s location in LS12 provides a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of the city, with plenty of natural beauty to appreciate. We enjoy walking our dog along the canal walkways and our room offer stunning views of the Headingley area and stadium. Additionally, the apartment receives a lot of sunshine throughout the winter, making it a cozy and inviting space.

There is ample parking space available for residents. Besides, The Junction partnered with Enterprise Car, so you get to rent car, if you wish to with convenience .

There is a bin chute for each unit to dispose of small rubbish bags and it is accessible from all floors. The Internet is included in the room rent and I find the net speed quite fast for most of my needs, which includes working with softwares, home entertainment etc.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Viewing experience was good, we were offered to see couple of rooms suiting our requirements.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

We have not come across any issues so far to ask for management support.
