Exemplary Design, Facilities, and Management Make this Place a Dream Home for working professionals and families

To share my positive review of the design, facilities, building management, and property management in this place. The design of the property is both aesthetically pleasing and functional, with attention to detail evident in every corner. The architecture is impressive, creating a visually appealing environment.

The facilities provided are exceptional, surpassing expectations. From state-of-the-art fitness center to beautifully landscaped gardens, every amenity is carefully designed to enhance the residents’ quality of life. The communal areas are well-maintained and offer a delightful space for relaxation and socialising.

The building management team deserves commendation for their professionalism and efficiency. They are responsive to residents’ needs and concerns, ensuring a safe and comfortable living environment. Maintenance issues are promptly addressed, and common areas are kept immaculate. The security measures in place give residents peace of mind.

Property management in this place is exemplary. The staff is friendly, approachable, and always ready to assist. The leasing and administrative processes are streamlined, making it easy to navigate. Regular communication and updates are provided, fostering a sense of community among residents.

Overall, the design, facilities, building management, and property management in this place are truly outstanding. The attention to detail, commitment to resident satisfaction, and dedication to maintaining a high standard of living make it a wonderful place to call home. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a well-designed, well-managed property with top-notch facilities.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Living in my local area has its ups and downs. On the positive side, there is a decent range of local shops, restaurants, and bars in walkable distance. The variety of options caters to different tastes and preferences. The quality of these establishments is generally good, with friendly staff and tasty food. Open spaces are abundant and well-maintained, providing opportunities for outdoor activities and relaxation.

However, the convenience and availability of transport links can be a bit of a mixed bag. While there are bus and train services, they can be unreliable at times, leading to delays and inconvenience. Additionally, traffic congestion can be a problem during peak hours, making commuting a frustrating experience.

Living on my street has its advantages and disadvantages as well. Parking availability is often a challenge, especially during busy periods. Bin collections are generally timely and efficient, ensuring cleanliness in the area. Unfortunately, there have been occasional instances of anti-social behaviour, although it is not a pervasive issue. As for traffic noise, it can be noticeable, particularly during rush hours, which may disturb those seeking a quieter living environment.

In summary, my local area offers a diverse range of shops, restaurants, and open spaces, contributing to an enjoyable lifestyle. However, transportation can be unreliable, and traffic congestion is a concern. Living on my street has its positives, including efficient bin collections, but parking can be difficult, and occasional anti-social behaviour and traffic noise can be disruptive.

Dandara Living – Aston Place… The place to be!

Aston Place is very new and modern inside, the apartments all have a great layout, furnished nicely inside.

One great benefit to living in Aston Place is the gym included on the lower ground floor which I make great use of and has really saved me from having to get a gym membership elsewhere. The gym is what you would expect, it’s quite small but does have most of the facilities/equipment that you would need. I will say it’s lacking some of the basic machines you might find at other gyms and some of the cardio equipment seems to be broken sometimes but overall it is a great little gym and definitely a plus to living in Aston Place.

The staff working in Aston Place are all very friendly and approachable, Paul in particular is extremely helpful with any issue you may have and it’s always great to be greeted with a friendly face when entering the building. We are very happy with the staff and the community within Aston Place and would recommend this to anyone.

I have noticed there are some aspects of the building which have not yet been completed such as some of the staircases to some floors, as some staircases are not carpeted.

Overall the building and apartments are in good condition and quite clean, when we moved into our first apartment here on a different floor it was in perfect condition. The second apartment we moved into was already lived in so we did expect a little bit of wear and tear, however we noticed the washing machine had a slight smell which was hard to get rid of and the bathrooms could have been cleaner.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Living in Aston Place is very central, you are close to New St station and the Bullring etc, so it is a great location especially since both of us work in the city centre.

Our closest supermarkets are Tesco in the Mailbox and a small Sainsbury’s which aren’t the best in terms of selection so we get our groceries delivered which we have no issue with.

Since Aston Place is so central, you will have easy access to all the nightlife in Birmingham city centre, such a short walk to Broad Street as well as Arcadian, Chinese quarter etc.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Aston Place is a great place for professionals to reside, the building is quite quiet and even in the evenings and on the weekends there is not much noise. However if you do tend to play music in the evenings you may get a complaint from a neighbour.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

We have raised some problems we have had when we first moved in and these were eventually dealt with.

Amazing place to live – minor issues – updated review after 8 months

The management team are so friendly and helpful. The facilities are amazing, especially with the new residents hub opening and the gym is inane! When we first moved in none of these facilities were available and I feel so lucky to live here. Design of the apartments is super nice and any issues we have had have been resolved fast. I can’t tell you enough how much I love living here and can’t recommend it enough if I tried. We added a dog to our family a few months ago and the staff were so happy and excited every time we take him out the run out of the residents hub to come see him and it is such a friendly/comfortable place to live.

We have one issue which has actually given me insane anxiety since moving in and to be honest it could get to the point that I may move out if in the long run I cannot deal with it even with how much I ADORE where I live. This is our fire alarm in our kitchen, it is awful. Our fire alarm is directly above the oven and is also a heat alarm which seems ridiculous considering it’s location, however, I am sure this probably building regulations or something. However, it is actually unbearable sometimes. We have cooked EGGS on our hob and it has set off ALL 3 of our firearms in our apartment, it set the kitchen one off and then the other two followed and there was no reason for them to go off as there is minimal steam (not smoke) and the extractor fan was on. I now am really reluctant to cook on my own in the apartment as I cannot reach the alarm to turn it off if it goes off as I cannot reach it without trying to climb on furniture. This seems like a daft complaint but I now don’t eat if I am alone because it makes me so anxious if I cook as you never know if/when the alarm will go off as when it has gone off when no smoke is present at all and there is no way of pre-empting it, it is just so temperamental. I don’t know if anyone else has had this issue but it is something that has really caused issues for us.

A few of my neighbours are also super loud intermittently and someone also occasionally smokes weed, there was a warning sent around about both of these not long ago and haven’t smelt/heard it since so fingers crossed it has gone now but we often had to close our balcony door and window which isn’t convenient when we have a dog. I think it is worth noting though that there are emails and updates about matters like this often and the management team are really on the ball and work hard to make chapel wharf the best place to live. I feel bad for putting a complaint on this review because I can’t stress how much it is generally a fantastic place to live.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

So close to the city centre, it is a few minute walk to bars, shops and pretty much everything you need.It opens up a lot of opportunities being so close to the centre with such ease. Also, if I am honest the positioning of the apartments kind of makes me feel like I am escaping from all of the hustle and bustle even though Spinningfields is literally a 3 min walk away. Transport is fab, bus stops are right on Chapel Street outside the buildings for access into Salford, the train station is super close too and then as soon as you hit Manchester you are spoilt for choice of trams, trains and buses to get where you need to go and everything runs regularly. If I am honest I can sometimes get a little bit aggravated when drunk people decide to come stumbling down the side of our apartment building and are noisy or sometimes the Lowry guests are super loud. However, if you are living in a city centre I think this is to be expected to some degree and our apartment is an end apartment close to the bridge so this probably doesn’t help as we are close to the people walking past. I think a bonus for us is how we can do the best people watching ever from our balcony, I will sit and have a coffee with my breakfast and 5 mins later Ronaldo or someone else will stroll past, it’s wild and very interesting. I think the hotel being close also reduces antisocial behaviour to some extent as it is a high end hotel and they have staff monitoring the car park etc constantly so any issues are resolved without you really having to do anything. Can sometimes be noisy when the football is on as the teams often stay at the hotel but I don’t mind this at all, it isn’t for long and I personally think it is quite fun to watch sometimes.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

There was no way of knowing this but the sensitivity of the fire alarm in our kitchen, it makes it difficult to cook anything at all without pure stress about it going off.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

We raised an issue with our door lock super late at night as it broke, the maintenance team were up the next night to sort it. This was reasonably slow for me as I couldn’t lock my door besides the chain, which was a god send on this night but at the same time there are a ton of apartments and it did happen at night time so I am sure they came as fast as they could. Once they came up it was fixed within minutes and both staff members were super lovely. We haven’t had to request anything else.
