About Castle Green
Castle Green deliver quality homes across North Wales and the North West of England, with a vision to be the most innovative and forward-thinking house builder in the region.
Sadly the experience of enjoying my new home has been marred by the poor communication with the aftercare team. They pressure you to give them 5 stars by promising to resolve your snagging quickly but beware once you do they disappear for the hills. One shocking comment on an issue I’ve had with my mismatched fence which I was promised would be resolved before final sale is still not resolved 14 months on. They did after me threatening to pull out make all the posts and baseboards the sane but used different coloured fence panels. I’ve been promised in writing multiple times it would be resolved and today I was told “ it will look the sane in a couple of years” now what you expect from a builder who supposedly prides them selves on customer service. Sadly they give the talk but don’t follow through. My advice DO NOT complete the survey until you’re happy no matter what they push you to do.
Parking is poor as the road is only wide enough to park on one side. Location is a small walk to shops and it’s a lovely village.
Wish I’d been able to see the home days before I finally signed so I could have applied pressure to resolve some of the snagging before I had purchased
My home is a good size and the finish is fair, snagging is slow which sadly keeps the feedback k low.
We have enjoyed owning a new home for the first time. The house designs are good but there are several design niggles which haven’t been well thought out. For example, the lounge door cannot open fully and is hindered by a 5cm shift in the wall that it is attached to. Light switches are placed where the obvious place for built-in cupboards to go. It was great having a fibre line built into the property and having TV options upstairs.
We have had reasonable service from McBride, now Castle Green, in helping out when issues needed to be addressed.
The gas company badly undercalculated the gas usage and left many residents with a big gas bill after the first year of usage.
Dyserth is a small village with a great butcher, a good pub (New Inn) and an adequate shop (spar). The ice cream shop at the Dyserth falls is lovely as well. I haven’t needed to use any public transport but my children use Voel coaches to get to school. the 3-minute walk to the bus in the morning is great. Guest parking is a challenge and many guests end up parking on the pavement which makes the road narrow. The bin collection has been reliable. The general traffic noise is low as the development is set back from the main road.
I would love to have been made aware or paid more attention to the placement of light switches in the rooms as well as knowing if doors we able to open completely.
We love the combined kitchen and dining room. As a family, we spend many hours in there and have loads of memories already in place. It is nice to be able to talk to people sitting at the dining table whilst cooking.
Design and features are 5*
No snagging left in the property apon moving in.
Downside is development is still under way so lots of construction noise and traffic. Castle green have been very helpfull and welcoming to us. I would suggest maybe adding a new footpath from the estate to quick access to the park and other attractions.
Great area for housing, mountain views and greenery on your door step, no anti social behaviour of any kind
The fact that construction work is still underway on the new development but this is something you get used to
The best feature of our home by miles is waking up every morning to a mountain view
Good management and design still waiting for tarmac to be laid told it would be after phase 2. Management cost still the same even though more people now contribute with little maintenance work added
Close to walks, restaurant and pubs
Bin collections always prompt, no behaviour issues. Parking slight problem at the first house of the estate with the house using the road not the drive and people using the bay for the gas delivery as private parking
Road would be dirty and used for building traffic for phase two which we weren’t aware of at the time
The build was good and the view is unbelievable. Raised garden is nice
