About Aitch Group

Founded in 1995 by Henry Smith, the Aitch Group is a leading property developer based in London. Its focus is mainly on mixed-use, residential and commercial developments across London and the Home Counties, with an emphasis on high-quality and design-led schemes.

Aitch Group developments

Aitch Group developments currently listed on HomeViews include the Bagel Factory, a sleek development of one, two and three-bedroom apartments, close to Hackney Wick Station. Childers Street, in Deptford, meanwhile, is a mixed-use regeneration scheme of 83 residential units with 1,240 square-metres of commercial space. Other developments to consider are Now Bow in East London, the Textile Building in Hackney and the Glass Works at 34-37 Deptford Bridge.

The place oozes industrial cool, from its contemporary lighting to its oversized steel windows, not to mention the clever use of brickwork inside and out (each apartment has its own living room feature wall). The end result? A stylish nod to the warehouse-like architecture synonymous with the Hackney borough.” – HomeViews Property Pro on Bagel Factory

Good quality development

Design is nice for most of it. Facilities is well rounded with onsite gym and concierge (very helpful staff).

Love our rooftop gardens. place for us to socialise with neighbours and friends. Though the gardening service is not worth the fees.

Management companies have not been great. Strattons was terrible, caused a lot of problems. Thankfully the new manager Hawk has been better, though still room for improvement.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Becoming more lively with both young and creatives and young families. Good mix of amenities, nice restaurants and cafes. Wedged between 2 huge beautiful parks and near the canal. Stone throw from all the vibrant social spots yet quiet in the immediate surroundings. Close to station. Quite a few buses. Great place if you like to travel by cycling.

There are still some anti-social behaviour. Not a lot of street parking.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I would have refused to complete unless they corrected the mistakes made in my flat. I’ve since had to pay for their design mistake which they acknowledged at sale, but refused to correct after the sale.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Almost none of the requests raised to Strattons was dealt with for 2 years. Caused a significant amount of problem. If any property is managed by them I would stay away. Not worth the pain. Thankfully the developer replaced them with Hawk. Things have improved.

Well designed building in a great location

The design of the building and the apartments is excellent, with the warehouse style suiting the character of the area. The facilities are good with a concierge, gym and a roof terrace.

The general building management is good, with the communal areas well maintained. The concierge are very friendly and helpful. However, there have been some teething issues with the service charge.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

We love being so close to excellent local bars and restaurants. We are also close to lots of green space in Victoria Park, the Olympic Park and Hackney Marshes, as well as the canal. Hackney Wick station is a two minute walk so the transport links are good.

There is currently a lack of shops in the local area, but this will change in the next couple of years.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Hackney Wick is surprisingly green with really beautiful parks on our doorstep!

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Most issues have been dealt with promptly, but the service charge budget issues are still on going.

Nice but loads of defaults with new builds

The development around the area is amazing. Very trendy. However the new builds have several defaults!
Local Sainsbury’s, shops, transportation. Outside the flats there are space to sit and enjoy during the summer. Homegroup management is rubbish!

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

10 – 15 minutes walk to Stratford.
Lovely bars and pubs. Cannot complain of the noise level at night.
Green space around the canal, Victoria Park and the Olympic Park.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

HomeGroup are rubbish as they and their contractors keep me waiting for repairs and donnot show up

Overpriced, lack of good quality.

Personally I enjoy the location and the accessibility to the station it is a good place to live in that aspect however the property itself is overpriced and i dont feel safe in the area. Also there is no parking available. The facilities are great also there is gym available.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Vibrant atomsphere, lack of security, car garage, no parking space, neighbours are friendly,

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish i was told about the car garage and there was no parking space for cars.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

I had a problem with the tap in my toilet and i called someome to fix it but the response time was very long and i had to wait for a few days before anything was fixed
