Areas to consider in Kingston upon Thames:

Kingston upon Thames offers an excellent combination of urban amenities and leafy riverside living, with a number of areas of interest to homebuyers, including:

Norbiton – a popular area for commuters to the city, with good road links and direct trains from Kingston train station. The district is also home to some excellent schools and community amenities.

New Malden – a popular residential district for young families and professionals, with an excellent range of local shops, restaurants and bars on offer in the high street. A lively shopping centre is also within easy reach along New Malden’s borders with Raynes Park and Wimbledon Common.

Surbiton – home to some of Kingston’s most desirable residential homes, including Surbiton Park and the high-end Ewell Castle Estate. Good road links mean that Surrey’s more famous attractions are all within easy reach of Surbiton residents.

Old Malden – a former village now absorbed into the urban sprawl of metropolitan London has become one of London’s most sought after residential areas because of its proximity to Richmond Park and the Thames Path.

Kingston Hill – a leafy area in Kingston, close to Norbiton, where you’ll find attractive Victorian family homes on tree-lined avenues. A good range of shops can be found along Malden Road with easy access into central London via the District Line at Wimbledon station.

Teddington – Teddington is a popular place to live for London workers thanks to its excellent transport links into the city. The Thames also offers opportunities for those who love water sports and the area’s proximity to Richmond Park makes it one of London’s greenest areas.

Transport links in Kingston upon Thames

Situated as it is near central London, Kingston upon Thames has excellent transport links. From the station you can catch a train direct to Waterloo in under 20 minutes, Paddington around half an hour and Victoria just over 30 minutes – all of which are great connections into London’s West End or City financial district.

Kingston also benefits from having its own mainline railway station that allows easy travel for commuters living further out like Epsom and Ewell or Chessington, both of which are a short journey from the station.

As well as this, Kingston upon Thames benefits from its strategic location on one of London’s main roads – the A308/A240 dual carriageway provides easy access to Heathrow Airport and central London via the M25 motorway junction.

There is train access although is quite a distance away. Good access having Kingston & New Malden. Main road is very loud during the day.

Please review your development:

Building management aspect almost never hear from them or don’t have follow up on requests.
Issue with not being able to allow visitors through the second door door at the entrance without going down to open the door for them, although this has recently been fixed with 2nd intercom.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Number of facilities & the nearby access shops/bars.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Has been some follow up on certain issues raised, but not been followed to completion and still awaiting their response.

I am happy with everything

The area is really nice, plus the flat design is nice as well. Bus stop is very near, Aldi and Matalan is just a stone away as well. The only bad thing would be the limited parking for visitors I guess.

Please review your development:

I am happy with everything. The only bad thing I could say is that the elevator broke already even though it is a new built. However, it has been repaired after a day or two. Customer service is okay as most of the time they respond quickly and there are times that they would ask you to wait for months but overall okay for me. Delays are reasonable and valid. Therems also a common garden area if you want a breath of fresh air but no gym facilities. Overall I am satisfied with customer service. Just no visitor parking space if you didn’t buy parking space.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Nothing really as everything has been discussed to me prior to moving in.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Yes. They have responded to me however with my balcony issue they told me it will take time. But overall okay for me. I would recommend them and the delays are understandable and reasonable.

Kingston East – a great home!

Loving the Kingston East development being right next to an Aldi, within walking distance of all the good things Kingston and New Malden high streets offer! Bus stop right in front of the flat, which is super convenient any time of the day!

Please review your development:

Building management is quite efficient given rising costs of energy these days. The inner courtyard is near completion and looking much better than expectations. And the sales team (Sinthia and Qasim) is just the most friendly and relatable group of people!

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Would have been great to know who will be leasing the commercial spaces in the building

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Always addressed my concerns on a timely basis, including following up after resolution!
